When the Qur'an was revealed, the prophet serves as mubayyin, explaining ti his friends about the meaning and content of the verses of the Qur'an,Particularly with regard to the verses that are not understood or vague meaning.Thus interpretation of the above three sources,namely from the prophet,yhe companions and the tabiin commonly referred as tafsir bi al mansur, a source fairly respresentatif to understan and interpret the verses of the Qur'an futher appropriate with the needs issue of human development.This paper seeks to reveal how the methods used in the preparation of the book by using the above three sources of interpretation in explaining the purpose and content of the Qur'an.
