Lampung is one Indonesian province which is geographically situated between the Provinces of South Sumatra and Banten. The latter two provinces are known to have cultural legacies of the past, including religious manuscripts, from the Darussalam Sultanante of Palembang and the Sultanante of Banten respectively. Given its geographic location, it is expected that lampung have received some influences and inherited cultural legacies, including religious manuscripts, from the two sultanates. This paper aims at describing the resluts of stock takingof religious manuscripts kept by individuals in Lampung. The approach used in this research is a combination of codicology and philology. While codicology studies manuscripts from their material aspects, such as paper, cover, ink, and binding, philology examines their substantial aspects, such as forms and meanings of linguistic expression found in manuscripts.
