Penerapan syari'at Islam di kesultanan Banjar : refleksi historis dakwah kultural Syekh Muhammad Arsyad al Banjari berdasarkan manuskrip Tuhfat al Raghibin /
This article is part of the consolidated results of research on Indonesia Scholar's work in South Kalimantan, conducted by the institute for Religion Research, Semarang. The study was carried out in early 2009 in Banjar district and surrounding areas. The fact that many scholar's works in the archipelago including South Kalimantan- which have not been adequately studied is the backdrop of the research on their works. Besides their work is the ancestral heritage of great value and needs to be preserved. It is mentioned in the history that there was in around the 16 th century an Islamic Kingdom called the kingdom of Banjar in South Kalimantan. The kingdom was originally a Hindu Kingdom which is estimated to have existed since the 8 th century AD. Kingdom of banjar in the early days was led by Sultan Suriansyah. Sultan Suriansyah established Islam as the state religion of Banjar. Since then Islam has been widespread in Banjar.ifa.
