Kajian 'hasrat' dalam dua novel Asia : sebuah analisis psikoanalisa lacan /
Based on two novels written by Asian writers, Kenzaburo Oe's novel entitled the silent cry [translated into jerintan lirih by Utti Setijawati] and Jhumpa Lahiri's the namesake [translated into makna sebuah nama], this paper tries to reveal characters of both novels. Takashi and Gogol, to which the writer sees through lacanian psychoanalysis. The other major characters the novels are also important. In Jeritan Lirih they are Mitsusaburo, Natsumi, and the dead ones, their great grandfather's young brother and their elder brother, called S are also of great contribution to the description of Takashi's personality, which is portrayed through concepts of Lacan's psychoanalysis. In the Namesake, they are Ashoke, Ashima, Moushimi, Sonia, and Maxine. This paper is focusing on the desires that both Takashi and Gogol might have, by observing Takashi's and Gogol's unconsciousness as relevance to both emergence of desires and defense towards achieving the objects of desires...ifa.
