Abu al A'la al Mawdudi arose at the time when the world of Islamlooked for a paradigm of politics after liberating themselves from western hegemony. With his experience in journalism and political activities, he took political phenomena in his country into account and took an active part in establishingan Islamic country, Pakistan. His thoughts concerning politics is influenced very much by political condition he went along with. To him, Islamic state should be based on the doctrine of twhiid which settles Allah as the Supreme sovereigntyof the state. To interpret Allah's Supreme sovereignty, al Mawdudi also recommended to undertake ijtihad based on the spirit of religious doctrines. To avoid the term theocracy state as widely applied in the West, al Mawdudi proposed the concept of the so-called Theo-Democracy State. The application of Theo-Democracy state policy must be exercised through the approach of political structure, not sociological culture. It is within such a kind.......yo.
