It is really undeniable that leadership is one of decisive factors that influences the development of organization. In groups with leadership structures, leaders perform a variety of roles, such as coping with internal and external threats, maintaining unity and order, managing anxiety and conflicts among members, and motivating them to participate. Such a phenomenon not only appears in a small group but it is also noticeable in the bureaucratic organization. This study tries to analyze the Muhammadiyah organization as an actual case to find out correlation between the leaders' characters and behavior and the development of the organization. In doing so, the researcher use quantitative method involving statiscal analysis.yo.
