The chinese ethic, majority are confucians, is a big potential resource to support philanthropy activities. Besides the essence of confucianism is strong to motivate the attitude of philanthropy for the followers, the teaching of confucianism contains comprehensive moral philosophy about the atmosphere of state and society. Working in confucianism is not only to emerge individuals happiness, but also to buil and keep the harmony of social arragement widely. The work of invidual based on confucianism must be derected to orderliness, harmony, and solidarity that those become condition to realize social cohesion in a community as well as strong and self-reliant society, taht is called the great harmony. Regarding this teaching, a group of chinese ethnic in PSMTI [Paguyuban Sosial Marga Tionghoa Indonesia/Social Community Organization of Indonesia Chinese ethnic] implemented philanthropy practices that give benefit to other etnic group.he.
