This article gives discription on the history and development of qadariyah naqsabandiyah tradition in pontianak and its teachings. According to the writer, this tradition-adopted by the people of Pontianak in 1976......was introduced and developed by H. Abdurrani Mahmud, a wakil talkin sworn in by Abah Anom, a leading figure in suryalaya, West Java. Thousands of people joined this tradition. Besides Abah Anom, the religious tradition and Pontianak also originated from Mranngen, Central Java with H. Ridha Yahya as its leader. Some important things about its teachings among other things are perfection of suluk, student behaviour, zikir and muraqabah.het.
