The research problem of this article is concerned with manuscript material, text edition, tranlation, the content of the manuscript text, and the use of surowati manuscript. The filed of study used to analyze the manuscript is philology. The analitycal method used is content analysis and function analysis. Surowati is medical manuscript. To master medical science, the understandings of the akhlak, tauhid and tassawuf are needed. The manuscript is a local product of native people of Indonesia in the form of Arabic alphabet in naskhi style.het.
