This article offers the development of Islamic education textbook using a multicultural approach. Religion education should be able to be used to develop universal moral values owned by religiouns and develop inclusive and plural theology. By using content analysis in studying the Islamic education texsbook for junior high school, the material that can be developed, for istance, 1. Al Qur'an for grade I-III, 2. The belief of Allah/asmaul husna grade I, 3. The belief to the prophet and the holy books grade II-III, 4. Islamic history grade II-III.het.
