In Islam, moral teachings and ethics cannot be separated from Islamic law the sources of which are al Qur'an and the Sunnah. Islamic ethics and moral teachings consist of two levels, that is, the syari'ah level and tasawwuf level. In the syari'ah level, whatever done is merely in line with the syari'ah law. Tasawwuf level is one level higher than that. People in this level do not only avoid the prohibition of Allah, but they also try hard to leave the undesired actions.het.
