The aim of this research is to find out empirically whether the interesting english subject correlates with the result of english study. The population of this research is all the students of faculty of communications jayabaya University Jakarta. sample taken through cluster ramdon sampling are represented by the second semester of Faculty of communications Jayabaya University Jakarta. The instrument for collecting the data concern the interest in english subject in interest scale, and the instrument for collecting the data of [controlled] writing ability is writing test consisting of 30 multiple choice and 7 essay valid and reliable items.het.
