This research pepar aims to find aut the factors that trigger the escalation of divorce by repudiation [khulu'], by analyzing cases jugdes by islamic court in Malang. The research reveals that factors contributing to the ascalation of khuluk in Malang district a low level of education, minor marriage, working abroad and, the last but not least, local culture which views divorce as a comman practice, especially among those who are wealthy.hety.
