This article discusses the perception of students of the Institute of Islamic Studies IAIN Sunan Ampel on english teaching process. Data are collected from all actifities. The conclusion of the research shows that the perception of the students of the Institute of Islamic Studies IAIN Sunan Ampel is positive. It means that the english instructors can use the positive perception on the studnts on english teaching to enhance their ability in mastering english.
