Gerakan feminisme Arab Islam : relasi Timur dan Barat dalam pergerakan perjuangan hak kaum perempuan /
It is stilldifficult to combine the feminism consept of Arabic Peninsula and that of the West. This is caused by the difference between the standart of human rights, which is applied universally but contradictory to the same one applied locally, such atates are tradition and local culture. There are two groups of feminist movement in Arabic peninsula. First, the secular feminist movement, and second, the Islamic feminist movement. Secular feminist movement was begun when wafdist women's central committee was erected in 1920 and egyptian feminist union in 1923. Those two groups, which are led by Huda Sha'rawi and Nabawiyah Musa tend to cooperate with other feminists either with Islamic or nationalist movement, even with the western one. They, nevertheless, tend to be nationalist in character, like what is applied by The Arabic Feminist Movement in Egypt.
