To obtain the closeness to God is the main purpose of the sufi order, like Rabi'ah al Adawiyyah has done. This purpose, however, can not be obtain without hard endeavor and exercise though such certain stages as taubat, zuhud, sabar, faqr, tawakkal and many others. Rabi'ah al Adawiyyah, who is the central figure of his research, can be classified as a sufi master who attain the station (maqam) of love. This research seems to be important particularly in the attemt of gaining more comprehensive picture of Robi'ah al Adawiyyah, in relation to her spiritual journey. In addition, it also to get the understanding of love in Robi'ah al Adawiyyah point of view. In delving into the data, this research will employ library research which is folowed by drawing a conclusion that type of sufisme of Robi'ah is based on direct relation relation with God, without any means.
