This article attempts at elaborating the contemporary trends of the development of Islamic thought in Indonesia. The author assums that the development of intellectualism and mode of though in Islam seems to accelerate more rapidly in the dynamics of this decade. This appearts to be more obvious, among others, with special reference to the increase of human resources and the awareness of developing this discipline among Indonesian muslim youths. syur.
